About NEP Belgium
NEP Belgium NV is the Belgian division of the international NEP Group. With operations worldwide, NEP provides technical services for television productions, live events, and audiovisual facilities.
NEP Belgium manages and operates the entire audiovisual infrastructure of the International Press Centre (IPC) – Résidence Palace in Brussels, under a long-term contract. We are responsible for the daily technical operations, maintenance of installations, and support of all events taking place there.
To further strengthen this team, we are looking for a:
Technical Coordinator – International Press Centre
Location: Brussels – Résidence Palace (IPC), On-site
Employment type: Full-time
About the role
The International Press Centre at the Résidence Palace is one of Europe’s leading press centres. The IPC is an active event venue hosting daily press conferences, institutional meetings, and hybrid events, as well as congresses and corporate events for external clients renting the venue. Visitors and clients are both national and international: from European institutions and international media organisations to companies and professional associations.
As a Technical Coordinator, you will be fully embedded at the IPC. You will be part of the permanent NEP on-site team and act as the technical backbone of the centre. You will work at a stable, fixed location with a predictable schedule — minimal to no weekend work and no late-night shifts — while enjoying the professional variety of a dynamic international event venue.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the daily technical point of contact for all IPC clients: from institutional users to external organisers of congresses and corporate events.
- Depending on the scale and number of booked rooms, coordinate and lead a small to medium-sized team of AV technicians during preparation, execution, and breakdown of events.
- Work closely with the on-site Account Manager to align technical planning with each client’s needs.
- Monitor the quality and availability of all audiovisual installations within the press centre — a modern, IP-based AV environment.
- Ensure seamless technical delivery of press conferences, hybrid meetings, congresses, recordings, and live streams.
- Report to the Manager Technology of NEP Belgium and rely on the NEP team for IT-related support.
- Represent NEP Belgium in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
Your profile
- Strong knowledge of audiovisual technology: audio, video, and a solid basic understanding of IP networks.
- Experience in a technical coordination role within a venue-based environment such as a conference centre, congress venue, press centre, cultural institution, or similar.
- Good command of Dutch (working language at our headquarters in Londerzeel) and fluency in both French and English — the working languages of our IPC clients.
- A strong communicator, both with clients and your technical team.
- A natural team leader: calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and responsible.
- Comfortable working in an environment where quality, continuity, and customer satisfaction are key.
What we offer
- A fixed daytime role — mainly weekdays during office hours, with little to no weekend work and no late-night shifts.
- A full-time position at a prestigious Brussels location — you are not a travelling technician but a familiar face for clients and colleagues.
- A varied workday: from institutional press conferences to international congresses and corporate events — every day is different, without the irregular hours typical in the event industry.
- Collaboration with an experienced technical team and the support of a strong international company.
- Competitive salary package with fringe benefits.
- Opportunities for growth within the international NEP network.
