You'll run the back office of a small, fast-growing AI company and help rebuild how that back office works. This is the right hand of the CEO: finance, HR, and internal operations sit with you. You keep the essentials running (AP/AR, payroll, onboarding, cash) and, as you learn the processes, you start automating them. It's hands-on and high-trust, with real ownership from day one.

What you'll do
Finance & operations
- Own AP and AR processes end-to-end.
- Run payroll execution, making sure everyone is paid correctly and on time, in coordination with our social secretariat.
- Manage cash and keep our finance & ops tooling in good shape.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding on the people-ops side.
HR & office
- Keep HR administration and compliance running smoothly.
- Make our Antwerp HQ a place people genuinely want to show up to.
- Co-own logistics: events, travel, internal ops, and the day-to-day team experience.
Automate & build with AI
- Deeply understand our existing finance & ops processes, then document and improve them.
- Experiment with AI tools and agentic workflows to automate the repetitive parts.
- Bring ideas that make operations sharper and clients happier.
Must-haves
- 3+ years running office, finance, and/or HR operations in an SME.
- Hands-on experience with core finance processes (AP/AR, payroll, cash). You don't need to be a controller, but you've done the real work.
- Working knowledge of Belgian HR/payroll administration.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (you'll deal with Belgian payroll, social secretariat, and vendors, and work in an English-speaking team).
- Detail-oriented, organised, and genuinely reliable with money and deadlines.
Nice-to-haves
- Tech-savvy and curious about AI tools, willing to experiment (no AI expert required).
- Experience in a startup or small, high-change environment.
- A track record of improving or automating a process, not just running it.

Pay: €2.355,40 - €3.632,61 per month
