Context

We are looking for an intern to join the PB Risk, Control and Monitoring team within the Business Support Operations department, which acts as the first line of defense for all Investment and Business activities in Private Banking.

As part of this team, PB Risk, Control and Monitoring Officers play a key role in the bank’s risk management framework.

Enablon is the IWM Group's centralized platform for recording incidents, assessing risks, documenting controls, and tracking corrective actions. It helps teams report action plans in a structured, compliant, and auditable way.

As an intern, you will work on the migration of our Monitoring plan, controls, control reports and working instructions towards ENABLON.

Therefore, you will closely collaborate with other IWM entities to contribute to the OneFlow project for the scope of PB Risk, Control and Monitoring team.

To be able to contribute in the most efficient way, you will in a first time perform several controls, which will enable you to get familiar with PB world.

Your position

Your Responsibilities & Learning Journey

Initial Responsibilities – Building Foundations in Risk & Control
- Support PB Risk, Control & Monitoring Officers with research and initial controls (e.g., client classification, phone record checks).
- Progress to more complex reviews (trade suitability, order validation, AML, cross-border compliance).
- Prepare structured control reports and draft/update control procedures.
- Gain hands-on experience with the bank’s risk environment and first line of defense.

KYC Analysis – Developing Regulatory & Investigative Skills
- Assist with periodic KYC reviews (PKR 2026), ensuring client data is complete and current.
- Screen for adverse media and verify client identification.
- Collaborate with Private Bankers and AML Compliance, acting as a bridge across departments.

Advanced Responsibilities – Growing Independence
- Challenge and improve existing controls, propose automation/statistical monitoring, and implement validated changes.
- Liaise between Private Bankers, Portfolio Managers, and Risk/Compliance teams.
- Identify training needs and reinforce best practices.

Enablon Migration & Integration
- Lead migration of monitoring plans, controls, and documentation to Enablon.
- Document and link new controls to risks, and set up action plans in Enablon.
- Track remediation progress and provide regular status updates.
- Produce Enablon-based reports and dashboards for management and audits.
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance with group standards.

Your profile

Studies & Background:

Business Administration, Business Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Economics, Applied Economics, Finance, Management, Audit
Strong understanding of risk, controls, and governance concepts.
Experience in operational risk, incident management, or internal control frameworks within banking or Private Banking would be an asset.

Languages:

Fluent at French to communicate effectively with Group stakeholders.
Good command of English is required as all documentation is prepared in English.
Knowledge of Dutch is an asset

Soft skills:

Demonstrates a structured and well-organized approach, with strong attention to detail.
Enthusiastic team player with a critical yet constructive mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong ability to coordinate across functions and ensure the timely completion of action plans.
