WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR DAY-TO
- DAY?The Web CMS / LMS Specialist will be responsible for supporting EEAS Learning & Development operations across Drupal CMS, EU-Learn LMS, and Moodle.
Key responsibilities:
- SupportPrepare Moodle v4.5 LTS for an increase in course managers from around 5 to potentially 30 users.
- Configure groups, categories, access structures, and related permissions.
- Analyse the feasibility of adding podcast channels to the Moodle plat
- form.Prepare analysis for the future migration from Moodle v4.5 LTS to Moodle v5.x.
- Support Moodle course creation and maintenance, including video talks, presentations, and other learning media.CMS and LMS operations
- Support daily operations of the EEAS CMS Drupal intranet Learning Center.
- Maintain the existing learning offer and categories.
- Prepare communications for new training offers, including news articles, banners, and newsletters.
- Support daily operations and maintenance of training offers in EU-Learn.
- Edit trainings and Learning Paths according to Training Maps requested by business users.
E-learning content and Media:

Design and create engaging e-learning solutions using formats such as SCORM, MP4, PDF, and PowerPoint.
- Publish learning content on EU-Learn and the L&D Moodle platform.
- Support audio-video recordings and post-production.
- Add closed captions to recorded seminars and presentations.
- Support manual and automated translations, including use of .xliff XML content.
User and business support
- Translate incomplete or unclear service requests from Course Managers and business clients into technical requirements.
- Explain technical limitations and dependencies in clear, simple terms.
- Provide second-line support for LMS and CMS tools between the IT Helpdesk and platform administrators.
- Manage the relevant functional mailbox for online support.
Documentation and process improvement
- Gather incident feedback and suggest improvements where possible.
- Maintain documentation repositories using OpenText or equivalent tools.
- Edit and create Knowledge Base articles for technical teams and end users.
- Support preparation of Learning & Development metrics.
- Participate in and support all activities carried out by the L&D team.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
- Minimum experience At least 3 years of experience with LMS systems.
- Solid understanding of LMS roles such as editor, course manager, and enduser.
- Proven experience with CMS solutions.
- Solid understanding of roles within CMS platforms.
- Moodle experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with other LMS or digital learning platforms may be considered if the candidate can quickly adapt to Moodle administration and configuration.
Technical Skills:

Experience with HTML5 and CSS.
- Experience with PHP-based end-user web solutions in a LAMP stack.
- Front-end JavaScript experience.
- Experience with web browsers, especially Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.
- Experience with e-learning creation tools such as Articulate 360 or similar.
- Experience with Adobe tools or similar graphic/contenttools.
- Familiarity with SCORM, MP4, PDF, PowerPoint, and other learning content formats.
- Experience with .xliff / XML translation content is required or strongly relevant.
- Knowledge of Drupal CMS, EU-Learn LMS, and Moodle LMS is highly relevant.
Project and support
