Marketing & Culture Trainee

Opened in May 2025, The Standard, Brussels brings 180 rooms, a rooftop garden, and a greenhouseâstyle lobby to the city’s Northern Quarter. Designed as a hub for culture and connection, the hotel blends contemporary hospitality with the brand’s signature edge. Throughout the building, a collection of public and private event spaces hosts a steady rhythm of gatherings, collaborations, and cultural moments. Since 1999, The Standard has focused on thoughtful design, community, and experiences that feel anything but standard.

We’re looking for engaged, curious trainees ready for a minimum 4âmonth school internship in an environment that values creativity and individuality. SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP:

Assist the Marketing & Culture Director and Coordinator in daily tasks.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide administrative support to the Marketing & Culture Director and Coordinator
Adhere to brand guidelines
Work on projects: create, send emails, advertisements, invitations, brochures, and briefs for agencies
Assist the Marketing & Culture Director and Coordinator in updating the website and social media platforms
Participate in Culture, event, happenings organization
Provide support to the marketing & Culture departments
Help execute specific projects and assignments (e.g., photo sessions)
Maintain mailing lists
Report online customer feedback and hotel industry news
Gather information on new marketing opportunities
Participate in competitive analysis and customer needs assessments
This job description may evolve over time based on departmental needs.

SKILLS:

Proficiency in computer and web-based tools
Proficiency in social media
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Good listening, communication, and teaching skills
Initiative, creativity, pragmatism, and methodical thinking
Open-mindedness and adaptability
Intellectual curiosity
Languages: French & English
Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint / Canva
