We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to join a mission-critical ICT department responsible for applications supporting Belgium's railway infrastructure, train traffic planning, and maintenance operations.
Working in an Agile environment, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into high-quality IT solutions. You will collaborate closely with multiple Scrum teams and contribute to the continuous evolution of business-critical applications operating in a 24/7 environment.
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
Collaborate with development teams to design effective solutions.
Support Product Owners in backlog prioritisation and user story refinement.
Guide development teams throughout the implementation process.
Define functional test scenarios and coordinate UAT activities.
Validate releases together with business stakeholders.
Analyse incidents, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
Maintain up-to-date functional documentation.
Facilitate communication between business, IT, and operations teams.
Act as the functional point of contact for applications.
Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation after onboarding.
15+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
Extensive experience working in Agile software development teams.
Experience with LeSS (Large Scale Scrum).
Proven experience translating business requirements into prioritised product backlogs.
Strong experience writing user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
Extensive UAT and functional validation experience.
Experience facilitating workshops and process modelling sessions.
Experience analysing production incidents and prioritising fixes.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
