What You’ll Do
As a Senior AWS Cloud Architect, you’ll take ownership of our cloud strategy and architecture across the organization. You’ll work with a team of 10+ architects and engineers to design and build robust cloud solutions that meet strict security and compliance standards.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of cloud architects and engineers, helping them grow their skills and deliver high-quality work
- Architecture Strategy: Shape how we use AWS across the business, ensuring our technical choices align with our goals and regulatory needs
- Design & Build: Create comprehensive cloud solutions for regulated industries, including secure networks, data protection, and compliance controls
- Security Focus: Develop multi-layered security approaches that protect data across different sensitivity levels
- Stakeholder Management: Present architecture plans and decisions to executives and key stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in business terms
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with security, compliance, and business teams to solve complex problems and build consensus
- Quality Assurance: Review designs, conduct security assessments, and ensure everything meets regulatory requirements
- Best Practices: Create standards, templates, and guidelines that help teams build consistent, reliable cloud solutions
- Innovation: Champion modern cloud approaches like serverless computing, containerization, and microservices to improve how we build and deploy applications
What We’re Looking For
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture and design
- AWS Services Mastery – Expert-level knowledge of AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, Organizations, Control Tower, and Security Hub
- Secure Landing Zones – Proven experience designing and implementing AWS secure landing zones with multi-account strategies, network segmentation, and compliance controls
- Security & Compliance – Strong understanding of security frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark), compliance requirements, and experience supporting security accreditation processes
- Cloud-Native Architecture – Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, event-driven systems, API design, and modern application patterns
- Hybrid & Multi-Cloud – Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures, AWS Outposts, and integration with on-premises environments
- Experience leading and mentoring technical teams
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- Track record of successfully delivering large-scale cloud projects
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and modern application architecture
