Your Work Context
As an Offshore Production Engineer, you design a wide range of tools to monitor a vessel’s daily progress based on data. You use your expertise to assess the technical feasibility of future projects and determine the most productive installation methods and vessel deployment strategies from the early stages of project development. You determine the duration and production cycles of activities and assess the feasibility and interfaces of project execution. Through brief visits to the sites and the vessel, you increase the ship’s productivity.
Your Role
-
You design dashboards to monitor the ship’s daily progress.
-
You ensure that the necessary reports and data measurements are available.
-
You analyze trends and identify opportunities for optimization to streamline the project.
-
You use data from previous installations and create predictive models using data science tools such as PowerBI, Python, and Excel.
-
You interpret and analyze the feasibility of our vessels for future projects.
-
You define project-specific production estimates for heavy lifting, cable-laying, and rock installation work on projects worldwide.
-
You identify and report technical project risks, both during the tendering and execution phases.
-
You contribute to R&D projects to refine and further develop future vessels and installation methods.
-
You collaborate with the Tender, Technical, and Operational Departments to share knowledge and optimize projects.
What do you need?
You are an engineer (civil, mechanical, or naval) with an interest in the various aspects of offshore energy. Knowledge of coastal, offshore, or geotechnical engineering is a plus. You have strong analytical skills and are interested in data science. Knowledge of programming languages (such as Python, VBA, PowerQuery) is a plus. A good command of English is required. You will be based at the office in Aalst, but must be willing to make short trips abroad or offshore on a regular basis.
