Job Summary :
Om de groei van onze wereldwijde activiteiten te ondersteunen, zijn we op zoek naar een Arts – specialist in Cardiologie die ons Core Labs-team in Leuven komt versterken. In deze voltijdse kantoorfunctie werk je samen met een team van artsen en andere experten aan de beoordeling van cardiale onderzoeken binnen internationale klinische studies. Je levert een belangrijke bijdragen aan de kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid van onderzoeksgegevens die de ontwikkeling van nieuwe behandelingen ondersteunen.
Responsibilities :
- Je begeleidt en ondersteunt centrale beoordelaars (central readers) die ECG’s en cardiale beeldvorming evalueren.

Je werkt samen met het management team van onze Core Labs rond de technische uitvoering en kwaliteitsbewaking van cardiale beoordelingen binnen klinische studies.

Je neemt deel aan sponsorbeurzen en audits wanneer deze betrekking hebben op cardiale evaluaties.

Na een interne opleiding voer je zelfstandig onafhankelijke, geblindeerde beoordelingen uit van ECG’s en cardiale beeldvorming volgens de geldende studieprotocollen, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) en de Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

Je beoordeelt studieprotocollen, Image Review Charters en andere klinische en technische studiedocumenten.

Je zorgt voor een correcte en tijdige registratie van alle vereiste studiedocumenten, overeenkomstig de studieprotocollen, GCP-richtlijnen en de geldende SOP’s.

Je neemt deel aan kwaliteitscontroles, waaronder evaluaties van de consistentie tussen verschillende beoordelaars (inter-reader) en van uw eigen beoordelaars (intra-reader).

Je draagt actief bij aan de ontwikkeling, evaluatie van SOP’s en studiespecifieke werkprocedures.
Qualifications :
- Diploma geneeskunde (M.D.) en een geldige erkenning als arts.

Je bent erkend als specialist in de cardiologie

Je hebt een grondige kennis van elektrocardiografie (ECG) en cardiale beeldvorming en bent ervaren in de interpretatie van ECG’s, Holter-ECG’s en minstens één techniek voor cardiale beeldvorming.

Ervaring met software voor de analyse en beoordeling van ECG’s en cardiale beeldvorming, waaronder PACS, is een belangrijke troef.

Je werkt vlot met Microsoft Office Word en Excel. Kennis van Access en Project is een pluspunt.

Je werkt nauwkeurig, kwaliteitsgericht en hebt oog voor detail.

Je bent in staat om zelfstandig te werken, maar functioneert eveneens goed binnen een multidisciplinair en internationaal team.

Ervaring met klinisch onderzoek, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) en het werken volgens SOP’s is een meerwaarde.
