Role:
As Field Service Safety Governance Officer, you are responsible for strengthening and governing field service safety across Daikin's EMEA service network. You ensure the consistent implementation of the Field Service Safety Management System, support affiliates in improving safety maturity, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Acting as the central safety governance expert, you work closely with local safety representatives, service management teams, contractors, and senior leadership to reduce risk and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining and maintaining the Field Service Safety Governance framework and supporting the implementation of safety strategies across EMEA
- Monitoring affiliate compliance with safety requirements, conducting audits, tracking corrective actions, and reporting progress to management
- Managing safety performance indicators, dashboards, incident reporting systems, and trend analysis to support proactive risk management
- Coordinating investigations of incidents and accidents and ensuring lessons learned are effectively shared throughout the organization.
- Supporting affiliates in performing risk assessments and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
- Developing and maintaining safety training programs, awareness initiatives, and competency frameworks.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of safety management systems
- Managing safety governance documentation, SharePoint platforms, standards, procedures, and communication materials.
- Supporting subcontractor and partner safety management to ensure compliance with Daikin safety standards.
- Acting as the central point of contact for field service safety governance across EMEA.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Sciences, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety, preferably within field service, technical service, industrial, HVAC-R, or construction environments.
- Good understanding of ISO 45001 and safety management systems.
- For Belgian applicants, a Prevention Advisor Level 2 is a minimum requirement.
- Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance management
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a structured approach to governance and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.
