Are you motivated by turning financial insight into clear business decisions, bringing structure to complexity, and staying close to the business behind the numbers? We are looking for oa Senior Finance Business Partner for Region Southwest Europe, based in Wavre, Belgium.
This is a senior regional role for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with a hands-on business partnering mindset. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the region, helping translate financial analysis into practical recommendations and better business decisions.
Meet your future team
You will join the Region Southwest Europe Finance team and report directly to the Finance Director, Region Southwest Europe (France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, and Portugal).
From your base in Wavre, you will play a key role in connecting regional priorities with local business realities, with a particularly close link to the Belgian sales organisation.
This role sits where finance meets the business: close enough to understand commercial dynamics in the markets, while also maintaining the regional overview needed to identify patterns, challenge performance, and support decision-making.
What we offer
You will play a central role in making finance support more practical, connected, and forward-looking across Southwest region. The role combines regional improvement work, strategic analysis, business case support, and Board or leadership material with an everyday focus on helping the business understand performance and make better choices.
More specifically, your tasks will be to:
- Act as right hand to the Finance Director, Region Southwest Europe, helping structure priorities, prepare decision material, and turn financial analysis into clear business recommendations.
- Drive or support financial deliverables for regional leadership, Executive Management, and Board-related material, ensuring clear messages, robust analysis, and strong business relevance.
- Partner with finance and business stakeholders across markets to improve financial processes and strengthen common ways of working.
- Standardize, improve and elevate performance management, including budgets, forecasts, in-year performance updates, and strategic follow-up
- Support the region with financial insight, scenario analysis, market perspectives, and recommendations that help translate strategy into action.
- Develop and challenge business cases, investment proposals, improvement initiatives, and commercial opportunities across the region.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and project support on regional priorities, including performance deep dives, Sales analyses and insights, market potential assessments, profitability reviews, and cross-functional initiatives.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you can expect a strong collaboration with the Head office in Paris, as well as with our Finance colleagues across Europe. This is a position with a strong potential for senior stakeholders and within the Global Finance community, enabling you to build visibility and influence.
What you will bring
You are structured, curious, and proactive, with an ability to create clarity in a complex environment. You combine strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in understanding the story behind the numbers and turning it into practical action.
You are comfortable moving between local details and regional priorities, and you build trust easily across markets, cultures, and seniority levels.
Moreover, we expect that you:
- Hold a relevant master's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a similar field.
- Bring at least 5-7 years of experience in finance business partnering, FP&A, commercial finance, strategy finance, or consulting within a complex, multi-market organisation.
- Have solid experience with forecasting, planning, performance management, and/or strategic finance processes.
- Can translate financial analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and are comfortable and prepare material for leadership and Board-level discussions.
- Have experience developing business cases, improvement proposals, financial scenarios, and decision support for commercial or operational initiatives.
- Possess strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with SAP, Anaplan, Power BI, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Are comfortable working across multiple geographies and partnering with senior stakeholders in English and French. Other languages (including Dutch) would be an advantage given the Wavre base and regional scope.
- Bring a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the confidence to challenge constructively while staying close to business priorities.
