We're looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst – Process Improvement to join our team in Brussels under a VIE contract (Volontariat International en Entreprise). You'll play a key role in analyzing, modelling, and optimizing business processes while acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams. Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business needs through workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Gather, document, and prioritize functional and business requirements.
- Model and document AS-IS and TO-BE business processes using BPMN and UML methodologies.
- Create process maps, workflows, and functional documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Bizagi, Signavio, ARIS, or Lucidchart.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and project managers to design efficient and scalable solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of new business processes and digital transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to functional testing, validation, and user acceptance activities.
- Ensure documentation is maintained and aligned with business and technical standards.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Functional Business Analyst in an IT environment.
- Hands-on experience in business process modelling using BPMN, UML, or similar methodologies.
- Proficiency with process modelling tools such as Microsoft Visio, Bizagi, Signavio, ARIS, Camunda, Lucidchart, or Enterprise Architect (Sparx).
- Experience facilitating workshops, gathering business requirements, and producing functional specifications.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) is considered an asset.
- Professional proficiency in French and English is mandatory.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Eligible to work in Belgium or willing to relocate to Brussels.
