Food, feed and pet food producers need to manage raw materials, quality and production ever more efficiently. At BESTMIX, you’ll help develop software that supports this. As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll work with cloud environments, automation and security to ensure our software continues to run securely, scalably and reliably.
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of an international DevOps and SecOps team. You will contribute to infrastructure, implementation, automation, monitoring and security. In this way, you will develop your skills step by step in cloud, automation and security.
You will work at our office in Veenendaal, the Netherlands, or our head office in Maldegem, Belgium.
Your tasks will include:
- implementing and supporting applications in Azure environments
- working with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform and Bicep
- working with CI/CD pipelines
- applying automation and standardisation
- working with Docker, Kubernetes and Azure Stack
- applying scripting and configuration using PowerShell, Bash and YAML
- working with SQL
- contributing to monitoring, scalability and security
- solving technical problems in a structured manner
- taking responsibility for the quality of assigned solutions, including cost awareness
You will be given a broad junior role in which you will gain experience with cloud, automation, security and scalable infrastructure.
You have a natural affinity for IT, think analytically and want to develop your skills in a DevOps environment. You enjoy working as part of a team, but are also able to work independently on assigned tasks.
We expect basic knowledge and growing practical experience with:
- Azure
- Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform or Bicep
- CI/CD
- automation and standardisation
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Azure Stack
- PowerShell, Bash and YAML
- SQL
- monitoring and scalability
- security best practices, such as SOC2 and ISO
You don’t need to be an experienced DevOps Engineer just yet. However, you do have a solid technical foundation and the motivation to develop further in an environment where cloud, security and software quality are key.
