Role Overview:
The Telecommunication Commissioning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Telecommunications / Security Systems pre-commissioning and commissioning, and the interfaces / loop checks with all systems, equipment and Instruments within the project.
This role focuses on ensuring that all Telecommunications are correctly set in service, and validated according to design specifications, procedures, schematics, and operational requirements, contributing to the safe and eficient operation of the facility.
Responsibilities:
o Develop comprehensive loop checks / interfaces plans with all equipment, outlining objectives, procedures, and schedules for testing and validation.
o Develop the pre-commissioning & commissioning schedule to set in service all systems related to Telecommunications.
o Collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to ensure all commissioning activities are integrated into the overall project schedule.
o Review Vendors SAT / Procedures / Reports for testing.
- Testing and Verification:
o Assist Telecommunications Contractor, Subcontractor’ SAT, and testing of systems, including their interfaces, and loop checks.
o Supervise Telecommunications integration tests to ensure that systems operate correctly and safely.
- Test Procedure Development:
o Create and / or review SAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning test procedures (CTPs), ensuring they are detailed and comply with industry standards, specifications, and Contract with the Client.
o Ensure that test procedures are clear and provide specific instructions for conducting tests safely and efectively.
o Determine temporary system requirements to enable commissioning testing
o Prepare schedules for Contractor, and Vendor testing, assistance and support
o Determine plant, equipment, tools and specialist tool requirements for commissioning
- Issue Identification and Troubleshooting:
o Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the pre- commissioning and commissioning process, working closely with other Site disciplines to implement solutions.
o Document any discrepancies from design specifications in Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions.
- Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare or review detailed commissioning reports summarizing testing activities, results, and any issues encountered during the Control Systems pre- commissioning, and commissioning process.
o Maintain accurate records of all electrical commissioning activities, including test results, inspection reports, punch lists, and compliance documentation.
- Final Acceptance and Handover:
o Participate in the final acceptance process, ensuring that all control systems are fully tested and verified to meet acceptance criteria.
o Facilitate the handover of commissioned systems to the Client, ensuring they receive the necessary documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A degree in Controls / Telecommunications engineering or a related similar field, with
substantial experience in Telecommunications systems commissioning or a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge of Telecommunications systems, including loop checks.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex
technical issues efectively.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
