We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Functional Analyst with strong expertise in the Payments domain (domestic and international) to join our team. The role requires deep knowledge of payment standards, APIs, and ISO formats, combined with hands-on experience in supporting testing activities and working in an Agile delivery model.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into clear functional specifications, API contracts, and process flows.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze business requirements in the payments and international payments domain and translate them into functional specifications.
- Work extensively with REST API, MT & MX messages, and ISO 20022 standards.
- Design and maintain Swagger contracts (OpenAPI specifications) for APIs.
- Create process flows, sequence diagrams, and system interactions using modeling tools such as PlantUML.
- Support API testing using tools such as Postman, ensuring coverage of functional and integration scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure quality delivery.
- Provide testing support by clarifying requirements, defining acceptance criteria, and troubleshooting defects.
- Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement by proposing enhancements to processes, tools, and practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Functional Analyst in the Payments domain, with strong knowledge of domestic and cross-border payments.
- Expertise in ISO 20022 messaging standards and conversion from MT to MX.
- Hands-on experience with REST API analysis and specification design.
- Strong knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI design and maintenance.
- Ability to model complex flows using PlantUML or UML.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or similar).
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with business, IT, and testing teams.
- Fluent in French, with professional English proficiency.

- Familiarity with regulatory initiatives in payments (e.g., PSD2, SEPA)
