Elia Group is driving the decade of electrification, accelerating the energy transition and adapting to new consumption behaviours. Elia Group is building an operations team for the new Elia Digital Platform (EDP). The EDP Platform is a service oriented, cloud-native platform that is being built to provide application teams with self-service capabilities to develop, run and operate their software products. EDP Platform provides services for application infrastructure, data, service lifecycle management, application build and delivery as well as services to operate their software products. The EDP Platform is deployed as a hybrid cloud, encompassing both private cloud and select public clouds. The EDP BE operations team will focus on the operational tasks for Elia Transmission Belgium’s private cloud.
The team is now looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer.
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer working on EDP, you will play a crucial role in crafting, implementing, and maintaining our container infrastructure with a focus on network and security. You ensure security across workloads, services, Kubernetes clusters and their respective consumers. You will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of infrastructure services developed on EDP. Your work is characterized by close collaboration with our infrastructure architect, delivery team and our networking specialists.
This is the scope of responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Kubernetes cluster networking and cloud-native networking services
- Manage network security operations
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Implement observability solutions to monitor infrastructure health, performance, and cost efficiency.
