Insurance is reinventing itself at unprecedented speed. Customers expect digital-first journeys, regulators demand stronger product governance and explainability, and AI is unlocking entirely new ways to design, sell, and service insurance products. The role of the Business Analyst has never been more strategic — or more exciting.
To accelerate this shift, we are looking for an AI-Augmented Business & Process Analyst to strengthen our Insurance Transformation team. You will sit at the intersection of business analysis, insurance expertise, and applied AI — partnering with our clients to map processes, define functional requirements, shape the product backlog, and deliver next-generation digital products across Life Insurance (savings, pension, investment-linked) and beyond.
This is not a “ticket-writer” role. You will own outcomes, not output: conducting in-depth business analysis, translating complex Life Insurance business rules into functional specifications, and championing AI-first process design — deciding which steps a human still owns, which steps an AI agent can perform end-to-end, and how third-party data, core systems, and AI services plug together into products customers love.
Help our insurance clients turn ambitious transformation goals into shipped, adopted, and measurable digital products. You will:
Analyze Life Insurance processes AS-IS / TO-BE and translate them into clear, implementable functional specifications and roadmaps people rally around
Build and groom a backlog that balances customer value, business value, regulatory needs, and AI-driven opportunities
Ship continuously through agile squads, then measure, learn, and iterate
Embed AI agents and AI-augmented experiences into the product fabric, with humans in the loop where it matters
Be the trusted voice of the customer, the user, the business, and the regulator inside the team
As an AI-Augmented Business / Process Analyst, you will:
Map Life Insurance processes AS-IS / TO-BE (underwriting, policy administration, claims management, savings and redemption workflows, distribution channels) and translate complex business rules, product eligibility criteria, and Belgian tax implications into functional specifications, process flows (BPMN), and gap analyses that engineering teams can build from.
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for insurance products and platforms — from customer journeys (quote-and-bind, onboarding, self-service, claims) to internal tools (underwriting workbenches, handler co-pilots, broker portals).
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, data, AI, actuarial, underwriting, claims, compliance, and legal to define and prioritize features and stories.
Ship on time using continuous delivery, feature flags, A/B testing, and hypercare to drive adoption from day one.
Communicate product status and trade-offs to stakeholders from project team to steering committee: clear, transparent, and well-told.
Conduct user research and analyze data: interviews, usability tests, funnel analytics, NPS, and operational KPIs.
Track insurance trends: insurtechs, embedded insurance, AI-first claims, parametric, IoT, open insurance, and regulation.
Prioritize AI agents and features: document classification, damage estimation, suitability/KID generation, fraud scoring, next-best-action, intelligent self-service, paired with guardrails, evaluation, and human oversight.
Ensure compliance from day one (IDD, Solvency II, PRIIPs/KID, WAP/LPC, DORA, AI Act, GDPR) by partnering with compliance, legal, and risk.
Drive API integrations: policy admin, claims and rating engines, broker portals, e-ID/signature, KYC/AML, telematics, document/image AI, payments, and AI/LLM platforms.
Support clients post go-live: measure, iterate, and grow the product
Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, IT, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Business Analysis or Process Analysis experience, ideally in Life Insurance or financial services.
Strong understanding of Life Insurance value chain, products (Branch 21, 23, 26, 44), and regulation (IDD, Solvency II, PRIIPs/KID, WAP/LPC, DORA, AI Act, GDPR).
Excellent communication and leadership skills. You can rally a team, push back on a CXO, and explain an AI decision to a compliance officer.
Ability to juggle priorities when scope, regulation, and customer feedback shift at once.
Hands-on experience with digital products and structured business analysis (process mapping, functional specs, gap analysis, acceptance criteria).
Analytical, problem-solving, data-informed mindset.
Comfort with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, analytics, and your favorite AI assistant.
Fluency in English and Dutch or French, with passive knowledge of the other.
A front-row seat in one of the most exciting transformations in insurance: building AI-augmented products that customers love and operations teams swear by.
A fast-growing international company with a unique people culture spanning Denmark, Belgium, and beyond.
A very competitive salary package including a company car, iPhone, and various allowances.
Extensive training in Belgium and Denmark on product management, agile, technical skills, soft skills, and the latest AI technologies, plus access to innovative equipment and tooling.
The freedom and budget to experiment with cutting-edge AI tools and bring those learnings into client engagements.
A dynamic and growing team with a great mix of young and experienced professionals focused on financial services, people who challenge each other and have fun doing it.
Real career growth: we invest in our people and promote from within.
