What this job involves
As the Head of our Project & Development Services (PDS) department in Belgium & Luxembourg, your missions will be:
Growth
Accountability to drive and deliver the established 2026 growth strategy and business plan adapting where necessary to respond to market conditions and take advantage of new opportunities for growth and diversification. This will form an integral part of the overall EMEA and BeLux PDS business plan.
Lead and co-ordinate business development activities across the BeLux team with a focus on developing new opportunities in office, hotels, and mixed-use schemes. This will involve representing the team within a variety of senior stakeholder communities and networks, both internal and external and establishing strong relationships with the key collaborators such as Leasing Advisory, Capital Markets as well as our Work Dynamics Account leads.
Contribute to and lead the team to deliver a best-in-class service. This is to include reviewing how we adapt our offer to take into account changes in client requirements and market expectations, for example around sustainability.
Act as senior oversight for the delivery of all instructions across BeLux through regular reviews and open communication to ensure accountability for compliance and overall leadership of the established BeLux and EMEA PDS Operations platform.
Create a strong internal and external profile for the service line to support growth and expansion of the right work.
Financial
Accountability of the business line P&L in collaboration with the Head of P&DS+Tétris
Manage expectations/forecasts/pipeline and take mitigating actions where necessary to deliver plan using our established CRM platform Salesforce.
Actively contribute to meeting or exceeding the PDS BeLux team's net revenue target for the coming years (TBC once budget finalised) through your own efforts and the efforts of others.
Review pricing structure, resourcing and profitability on all significant instructions to ensure that they fall within agreed parameters for profitability.
Project Profitability & Resourcing – lead the adoption of time tracking across the team link and use the information gathered to lead proactive reviews to address resourcing issues across the team where there is a financial impact.
Client
Undertake the role of Client Relationship Manager for a number of your own Clients (which may be existing JLL Clients) and lead our CRM efforts across the team with a focus on building/strengthening relationships, growing profitable business opportunities across all PDS service lines, sectors and offices.
Seek opportunities for joint service delivery integrating the service offerings of the group's various business lines
Actively collaborate with the EMEA BD Team to ensure that you and the team are represented/connected with all the core client accounts and initiatives in order to explore and maximise opportunities within region, and provide a consistent level of service across BeLux
Develop an internal and external market presence for the business attending external events and acting as a spokesperson for the team within the wider industry.
Ability to resolve claims and escalating business risks as necessary.
Wider business generation and cross selling - Make every effort to identify and secure new/target business opportunities for all service lines, sectors and offices within P&DS and through cross selling to the wider business, including Integral and Tetris.
Ensure the team are equipped with the necessary tools and collateral to contribute to business development including a suite of marketing collateral to effectively sell our capability, expertise and track record.
People
Continue to establish and reinforce a culture of collaboration across the BeLux team creating a shared vision for the business through your inclusive leadership style.
Lead and manage talent development and succession plans within your direct reports. Ensure role clarity for employees with clear and measurable performance criteria that directly support stated business goals and outcomes.
Support the JLL culture that drives leading-edge Safety, Environmental and Governance outcomes.
Drive collaboration between the leadership team to share opportunities and resources to deliver the best result for our clients as part of a national team allocating the right person for the job, irrespective of P&L and location.
Establish a culture of recognition and ensure there is appropriate mechanism across the team for talent identification, review, progression and reward.
Lead on opportunities to recruit strategic new hires to deliver the BeLux strategy and oversee the recruitment activity across the team to ensure it is timely and appropriate so as to not disrupt our service provision.
Ensure any performance issues across the team are appropriately managed and addressed.
Put a training plan in place to develop, support and upskill your own team and wider virtual teams.

Proven experience of acting as Project and/or Development Monitor on complex schemes
Good understanding of the full development cycle (from site acquisition to post completion)
Market presence and good industry relationships
Strong track record in running successful team(s), client relationship management
Financial and commercial acumen management experience
Ambition, growth mindset and a strong motivation towards delivering on our business purpose – ‘to shape the future of real estate for a better world’
Ability to navigate and manage stakeholder relationships both within the BeLux business and EMEA to support the aims of the business and generate opportunities
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborative approach and flexible style, with the ability to influence and confidence to challenge to achieve the required aims
Trilingual in French, Dutch and English
Demonstrate commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Operate comfortably in a fast paced, community/environment and commitment to get the job done with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within a team
Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
