To support our growth, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer.
This role will belong to the Robotic Casting Technology team. The RCT team is responsible of integrate the entire engineering of robotic solution in continuous caster area.
Requirements
Your main responsibilities as Mechanical Engineer:

Mechanical equipment design and improvement:
-
Based on project requirements, you design the equipment to define the robotic package solution.

You design 3D model, assembly and manufacturing drawings of all mechanical equipment of the robotic project.
- You suggest improvement opportunities when it is necessary.

You report progress proactively to the team leader and the project manager.

You manage the basic engineering of the robotic project:
-
Using the project technical specification, you define the robot work cell, positioning all the equipment and validating the robot type, checking that the payload of the robot is respected.

You quickly design basic equipment (robot tools, storage racks) to validate a robotic function and/or raise quickly some technical challenge.

You define the planning of project, only from mechanical engineering point of view, highlighting the main challenge and risks.

You manage the detailed engineering of the robotic project:

You coordinate the different tasks related to the detailed engineering such as 3D model design and manufacturing drawings

You keep the mechanical team planning of the project you are in charge under control

You work in close collaboration with other departments (Automation, Electrical, Workshop) to make the project a success
Your profile:

Master in Mechanical Engineering
-
Fluent in English (French is a plus)

Very good in mechanical design (conception, calculation, material selection, detail engineering, design). A certain degree of creativity is expected.

Able to work in team with good management and leadership skills.

Autonomous with good problem-solving and analysis skills.

Proactive and organized.
-
Practical approach and hands-on capability with interest for heavy industry application.

- Open to relocating to Belgium for the duration of the assignment
