FUNCTION
As part of the development of our products, we are looking for a Systems Engineer capable of leading systems engineering activities throughout the entire product development lifecycle, including architecture definition, requirements management, integration, verification & validation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
You will play a central role as the interface between Product, Hardware, Software, Qualification, Industrialization, Production, and After-Sales teams. You will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end technical consistency, from requirements definition through system validation.
You will serve as the key technical reference within the project team and will report directly to the R&D Director.
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture & Systems Engineering

Analyze and translate product needs into system requirements.

Perform functional decomposition into subsystems, modules, and components.

Define the system architecture (functional, logical, and physical).

Allocate requirements across the various engineering disciplines.

Define and document interfaces between subsystems (ICD – Interface Control Document).
Requirements Management

Ensure full bidirectional traceability of requirements, from customer needs through validation testing.

Manage requirement changes and perform impact analyses.

Ensure the consistency, completeness, and compliance of system requirements.

Integration & Verification/Validation

Define the system Verification & Validation (V&V) strategy and plan.

Participate in prototype integration phases and system testing activities.

Ensure that developed solutions comply with allocated requirements.

Lead and facilitate system technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).

Contribute to the definition of validation criteria and test cases.

Analyze non-conformities from a system perspective, including impact assessment, criticality evaluation, and root cause analysis.

Recommend architectural or requirements updates based on qualification results.

Contribute to deviation requests and associated technical assessments.
Industrialization & Production Interface

Integrate manufacturability constraints into the system architecture.

Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.

Analyze recurring production issues and propose design improvements.

Document system constraints impacting manufacturing and inspection processes.
Field Support & Continuous Improvement

Analyze field failures and after-sales service feedback.

Contribute to system-level root cause investigations and corrective action plans.

Lead or support System FMEA activities.

Contribute to knowledge management and the continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.

Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Civil Engineering) with a specialization in Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of successful experience in Systems Engineering or the development of complex multidisciplinary products.

Experience in electromechanical systems and/or embedded systems is strongly preferred.

Fluent in both French and English, written and spoken.
-
Willingness to travel internationally approximately 3–4 times per year.
Desired Technical Skills-
INCOSE ASEP/CSEP certification, MBSE training (SysML, Capella), or equivalent qualification.

Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies, including MBSE, V-Model, and functional decomposition.

Experience with System FMEA / DFMEA methodologies.
-
Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, Jama, or equivalent.

Experience with modeling tools such as SysML, Capella, or equivalent.

Good understanding of applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements
