We currently have a vacancy for a Weather & Aviation Data Expert, fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks

Process, analyse and visualise aviation weather forecast and observation data to support operational decision-making;

Develop and maintain analytical tools, dashboards and reports for the Weather Desk, integrating Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) and meteorological data to enhance operational awareness and performance;

Process, analyse and visualise European AIS Database (EAD) data to support operational monitoring and performance assessment;

Design and deliver tools and reporting solutions that support EAD operations, including data quality monitoring, client management activities and compliance with quarterly external reporting requirements;

Prepare and maintain briefing materials, presentations and analytical reports to support stakeholder engagements;

Provide subject matter expertise in reporting methodologies, data management and operational performance improvement initiatives;

Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, generate actionable insights and support evidence-based operational decision-making.
Requirements

Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Air Traffic Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Aerodynamics, or a related discipline, combined with relevant professional experience in information technology, data analysis or software development;

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an air traffic management, air traffic control, or operational support environment;

Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience using SQL, Python and Power BI for the analysis, processing, and visualization of aeronautical data;

Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with aviation weather forecast and observation data.

Proven experience in preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including reports, specifications, presentations or software documentation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce clear and well-structured reports and presentations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
