As an IoT Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable IoT solutions for our diverse clientele. You will bridge the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), creating architectures that seamlessly integrate IoT devices, manage vast streams of data, and enable advanced analytics, AI use cases, and Machine Learning applications — including edge GenAI, small language models, and MCP-enabled industrial connectors.
You will be an integral part of a team of big data and IoT developers, responsible for translating client needs into architectural specifications and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Design and develop end-to-end IoT architectures, from device connectivity to application integration and processing pipelines, with security by design.
- Architect solutions capable of handling and processing large volumes of IoT data, and design data models and storage solutions optimized for IoT workloads.
- Enable AI and Machine Learning use cases by designing IoT architectures that support the deployment and operationalization of models, including edge GenAI, quantization-aware design, and MCP-enabled industrial agents.
- Leverage cloud platforms (Azure IoT Operations + AI Foundry, AWS IoT Greengrass + Bedrock, or equivalent) to build scalable, resilient, and cost-effective IoT solutions.
- Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor) and MCP servers for embedded toolchains and SCADA/MES integration to accelerate architecture prototyping.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to translate their needs into technical IoT solutions.
As an IoT Architect, you are analytical and can transform your analyses into strategic insights while possessing a broad knowledge of data technologies and project management.
- You have proven experience as an IoT Architect or Solutions Architect with a strong focus on IoT, and a deep understanding of IoT principles and protocols.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms and their IoT, data, and AI/ML services, with experience in implementing solutions that incorporate AI and Machine Learning.
- Excellent understanding of data security and privacy principles in IoT contexts, along with familiarity with edge computing concepts and technologies.
- You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a high level of proficiency in written and spoken Dutch is required.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical abilities, and value teamwork and physical presence for collaboration.
