What service line will you be part of?
As a Data Engineer, you will join our AI & Data Platforms expertise.
AI & Data Platforms is CBTW's service line dedicated to supporting organizations in leveraging their data and fulfilling their AI ambitions to achieve tangible results. We focus on adoption and measurable impact from day one, combining our comprehensive, end-to-end expertise with our ecosystem of leading partners such as SAS, Snowflake, Microsoft and Databricks.

Responsibilities:
What is your role?
You will be part of a journey where you will have two impacts: a client impact and an internal impact. For the internal impact, based on your skills and time, you will be joining our internal Data community at CBTW, to share knowledge and best practices. For the client impact, tasks can vary depending on the client and the project, you will mainly:

Design, development and implementation of data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from various sources (ETL processes)

Design and implementation of data models and structures to meet performance, scalability and data integrity requirements

Optimizing database queries to maximize query performance and minimize execution time

Performing data cleansing, transformation and integration to ensure data quality and consistency
-
Establish monitoring and security mechanisms to ensure data integrity and confidentiality

Work closely with data analysts, data scientists and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop appropriate data solutions

Continuously evaluate new technologies and best practices in data engineering to develop innovative solutions
Qualifications:
What is your profile?
As a Positive Thinker you have...

A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related discipline

Proven professional experience of at least 3 years in data engineering or in a similar position

Expertise in the development of ETL processes, data modeling and optimization

Very good knowledge of SQL and experience with relational database design

Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark or similar frameworks
-
Good programming skills, preferably in Python or Scala
-
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their services in the area of data analysis and processing is a plus

Fluency in Dutch and/or French and English
