Help Build the Cyber Security Future at TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium
TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium is further expanding its Digital division as a natural evolution of what we have stood for for decades: quality, independence, and reliability.
As part of this growth, we are actively building a strong cyber security service offering. Not as a standalone activity, but as an integrated service aligned with our core strengths: certification, auditing, and technical expertise.
What sets us apart:
the combination of auditing, certification, and hands-on cyber security consulting
strong expertise in standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2, and industrial frameworks
access to an international TÜV network of experts and clients
the opportunity to help shape and bring new services to market
To support this growth, we are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant with teamlead ambitions — someone who is technically strong and motivated to help build this service line.
Your Role
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will work on client assignments while also playing an active role in developing our cyber security activities.
You will contribute to projects such as:
NIS2 gap assessments and implementation trajectories
ISO 27001 implementations and certification support
Security audits and maturity assessments
Technical security reviews (cloud, network, applications)
Penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Guidance on embedded software security
Implementation of security controls or support during implementation
Risk assessments and the setup of security governance structures
Within these projects, you will:
analyze risks and vulnerabilities
translate technical findings into practical and actionable advice
collaborate closely with both technical teams and management
take ownership of quality and deliverables
Helping Build Our Cyber Security Services
In addition to client work, you will actively contribute to the further development of our cyber security service line:
helping define and shape our service offering
developing a recognizable and scalable approach
building expertise and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team
contributing to the strategic positioning of cyber security within TÜV
representing our expertise in the market through webinars, presentations at events, and more
You will work in an environment that is still evolving, where your input and initiative will have a direct impact.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in cyber security
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT-related field; candidates with a PhD in cyber security are also encouraged to apply
You are able to independently guide and advise clients
You are capable of structuring and challenging client requests
You feel comfortable working in an environment where not everything is fully defined yet
You combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic approach
You have the ambition to eventually take on a role in coaching and guiding colleagues
Certificates such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, OSCP, or CEH are considered a plus, but are not mandatory.
Where Can Your Expertise Lie?
Cyber security is a broad field. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation and clear professional maturity.
Technical Security
Detection & Response
Governance, Risk & Compliance
ISO 27001, NIS2, CIS Controls
Security audits and assessments
Risk management and ISMS setup
A clear specialization is an advantage, but a broad technical foundation is equally valuable.
Which Sectors Will You Work In?
Our clients operate in sectors such as:
Typical assignments include:
supporting organizations in achieving NIS2 compliance
ISO 27001 certification trajectories
penetration testing and technical assessments
implementing secure-by-design principles and integrating security testing during deployment
improving and implementing patch management within embedded software environments
A role in which you actively contribute to the further development of cyber security within the Digital Department of TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium, making an impact for clients across a wide range of industries.
In addition, you can count on:
A supportive and collaborative working environment where knowledge sharing is central
An organization that consciously invests in people, technology, and innovation
Extensive training and certification opportunities within cyber security (including cloud security, GRC, audits, and offensive security)
The opportunity to further develop both your technical and advisory expertise
Strong Compensation Package
Competitive salary aligned with your experience
Company car with charging card or mobility budget
Meal vouchers (€8/day) and eco vouchers (€250/year)
Hospitalization insurance (including outpatient and dental care) + group insurance, with the option to add family members
End-of-year bonus
Laptop, mobile subscription, and BYOD allowance
Flexible Income Plan (extra vacation days, bike leasing, devices, etc.)
Additional seniority leave starting from 2 years seniority
- Bonus system (individual and/or collective)
Flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely
Strong focus on work-life balance
You will join an organization that combines the stability of the TÜV AUSTRIA Group with the autonomy of a local player that sets its own course.
At TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium, you are not joining a cyber security team that has been fixed in place for years. You will have a seat at the table at a moment when the story is still being written. That is exactly why your impact can be significant.
Would you like to help write that story?
