We are currently looking for a GL Accountant for one of our international clients active in the services industry and located in Brussels.
Our client is a multinational organization with a strong presence across Europe and beyond, employing tens of thousands of people worldwide. The group is involved in the management of a broad portfolio of large-scale projects across key sectors such as healthcare, transport, justice and infrastructure.
As GL Accountant, you will join a team of five and report directly to the Chief Accountant. This role offers a unique opportunity to become part of a stable and reputable international group, while working within a close-knit, supportive team culture that values trust, autonomy and collaboration.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial accounting, month-end closing and reporting in line with group requirements
- Prepare statutory accounts, VAT and tax returns and liaise with relevant tax authorities
- Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls and compliance
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and identify, monitor and communicate associated risks and opportunities
- Support internal and external audits

Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems and provide relevant financial insights to management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

At least 2 years of relevant experience in General Accounting

You speak French and/or Dutch and have a professional level in English
- You are proactive and not afraid to ask questions when you need clarity
