We now wish to recruit a Global Physical Asset Manager utilities & MEP for a Pharma project in the region of Brussels.

Scope of Position:
The objective is to manage the “health” of a fleet of technical assets (utilities such as HVAC, water, electricity, etc.), prioritize investment plans (CAPEX/OPEX), identify risks (technical, safety, business), and ensure optimal performance across the asset lifecycle.
Team info:
The role is part of a global organization supporting multiple sites (manufacturing, R&D, facilities). The hiring manager currently leads a team of 5 asset managers, each responsible for a specific domain, and is looking to complement the team with a Utilities expert.
Tasks:

Analyze asset fleet condition through technical studies and data collection.

Identify risks (technical, business, safety) and define mitigation plans.

Build and prioritize investment strategies (CAPEX/OPEX).

Collaborate with stakeholders (business, engineering, PMO) to align budgets and priorities.

Act as single point of contact for asset-related initiatives.

Drive continuous improvement of asset management methodologies and governance.

Support decision-making by translating technical insights into financial/business impact.

Experience & Skills:
Must have :
Around 5–8 years of relevant experience expected, with openness to slightly more junior profiles if they demonstrate strong ability to bridge technical and financial aspects.
Strong technical background in Utilities / MEP (HVAC, water, electrical systems, etc.).

Experience in pharma/biologics industry (mandatory).

Ability to connect technical, financial (CAPEX/OPEX), and business perspectives.

Experience in asset lifecycle management and risk management.

Strong communication and influencing skills (ability to defend budgets, recommendations).

Fluency in French and English.
Nice to have :

Project management background (helpful for understanding downstream execution).

Exposure to automation concepts (PLC, HMI) without needing deep expertise.

Experience building business cases or linking asset strategy to performance (COGS, EBITDA, etc.).
Homeworking :
Hybrid model possible but flexibility needed : on-site presence decided week by week depending on needs.
