We are looking for a Global Head of Advanced Analytics who is Collaborative, Curious, and Impact-oriented to join our Integrated Insights team, based at our headquarter in Anderlecht, Brussels, Belgium.
About the role
You will lead UCB's global advanced analytics function and shape how data, advanced analytics, and AI are used to generate insights and support decision-making across the enterprise. You will help transform critical business questions into actionable insights that create value for patients and maximize the impact of UCB's assets. Leading our global Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence, you will work across the full molecule lifecycle from late-stage development onwards, advancing UCB's capabilities in analytics, data science, and AI-enabled insight generation. As a member of the Integrated Insights Leadership Team, you will play a key role in fostering a data-driven culture and positioning UCB as a leader in evidence-based decision-making.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary community across Integrated Insights, Patient Evidence, Patient Solutions, Patient Impact, and regional and global stakeholder groups. You will work closely with asset-aligned insight leads, commercial and functional stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, brand and asset teams, and colleagues from the Data Office and Digital Technology teams. Together, you will deliver integrated insights that support better decisions and greater patient impact.
What you will do
- Define and execute UCB's global vision for advanced analytics, data science, and AI-enabled insight generation
- Lead and develop a global Advanced Analytics team, building technical excellence and business fluency across the organization
- Partner with global, regional, and local stakeholders to translate priority business questions into impactful analytics and insight solutions
- Drive adoption of data, advanced analytics, and AI across the enterprise to strengthen decision-making and accelerate business impact
- Foster collaboration across Integrated Insights, Data & Technology teams, and business functions to deliver integrated, actionable insights
- Oversee the delivery of high-impact analytics initiatives and innovation opportunities that create value for patients and UCB
Interested?
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
- Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline
- Significant experience in advanced analytics, data science, AI, or insight generation within complex global organizations in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life science domains
- Strong global leadership capability with experience working successfully in matrixed and ambiguous environments
- Experience defining and executing a vision for analytics, data, artificial intelligence, and ideally generative AI
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and decision making questions across a product or assets lifecycle is preferred
- Strong project management skills with experience guiding analytics initiatives from ideation through adoption and impact
- Strong quantitative skills, structured problem-solving ability, and business acumen
- Understanding of analytical methodologies and models, including their strengths, limitations, and appropriate application
- Ability to interpret model outputs and identify potential limitations such as bias, overfitting, or correlation versus causation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences
- Driven by impact, innovation, and creating value for patients through data-driven decision-making
