We are looking for a Project Leader – Infrastructure CAPEX who is technically credible, delivery-focused, and collaborative to join our Engineering, Sites & Facilities team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.
About the role:
As Project Leader – Infrastructure CAPEX, you will lead complex infrastructure, utilities, and site facility projects from concept through execution and handover to operations. You will be the key point of accountability for project delivery, ensuring projects meet safety, quality, compliance, budget, and timeline expectations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, engineering partners, contractors, and suppliers to deliver projects that support UCB’s long-term infrastructure strategy.
Who you will work with:
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, Procurement, Finance, Maintenance, and Automation. You will also partner with external engineering firms, EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, suppliers, and site leadership to ensure successful project outcomes and alignment with business priorities.
What you will do:

You will lead strategic infrastructure CAPEX projects from initial concept to operational handover.

You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance.

You will develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and governance frameworks.

You will manage project risks, changes, issues, and stakeholder expectations throughout delivery.

You will provide technical leadership and challenge engineering solutions to ensure long-term value.

You will coordinate internal teams and external partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or equivalent.

Proven experience delivering complex CAPEX projects in regulated industrial or pharmaceutical environments.

Strong expertise in project management, budgeting, cost control, and schedule management.

Solid understanding of infrastructure, buildings, utilities, engineering governance, and project controls.

Knowledge of cGMP, quality systems, HSE, and compliance requirements.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
