Role overview
As Project Delivery Manager, you ensure the successful delivery of Spantech's contracted projects: on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction, from the signed contract through to final installation and handover.
You report to the Chief Operating Officer and act as the central point of coordination among Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics, translating a project from a design and quotation into a fully executed build, ready for use by our clients. The role combines office-based activities with hands-on, on-site oversight, and suits someone equally comfortable behind a desk and on a construction site.
Key responsibilitiesProject management & Planning
- Develop the project scope, the detailed budget, and the resources needed: staffing (internal and/or external), machines and equipment
- Coordinate the project team’s priorities and assignments, the project schedule based on Spantech’s method statements, benchmarks and past project experience
- Prepare requests for quotations, bills of materials, purchase/production orders to Spantech factories and subcontractors based on the project requirements
Site & Team supervision
- Lead daily coordination meetings with the site manager and installation crews on-site, communicate goals and resolve blockers same day
- Conduct quality walkthroughs and verify the performance of subcontractors and installation crews
- Enforce health & safety requirements on site and ensure that all stakeholders follow them
Budget & Cost control
- Monitor the project budget throughout execution and take corrective action when off track
- Negotiate and purchase construction materials, machinery/equipment and subcontracted technical installations in line with tender or customer requirements
- Track crew, subcontractor, and equipment expenses
Stakeholder reporting & Continuous improvement
- Produce status reports for project stakeholders, both client-side and Spantech management
- Conduct meetings with the project stakeholders to ensure progress in a coordinated manner
- Capture and document information on organisation, structures, processes and H&S methodology to support continuous improvement
What we’re looking forEducation & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (civil engineering, industrial engineering, business engineering) or equivalent through experience
- 1-3 years of relevant project management experience, ideally in construction, temporary/modular structure building, the event industry or a related industrial sector
- Prior experience managing budgets, schedules and a construction site; experience leading construction or installation teams
- Proven risk management and health & safety experience on construction projects
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong construction project and team management skills, with solid time management, budgeting, resource management and scheduling capabilities
- Good knowledge of Excel; familiarity with CAD/BIM and ERP systems is an asset
- Fluent in English and at least one of Dutch, German or French; strong written and verbal communicator
