Working in the Billing Experience IT Delivery Cluster

In the IT Delivery Cluster of the Billing Experience tribe, you will play a key role at the heart of Telenet’s billing, payments, collections and finance journeys , ensuring that complex billing applications run reliably today and evolve in a future ‑ proof way . The environment is dynamic and collaborative, balancing Technical Debt reduction, KTLO (Keep The Lights On), stability , continuous improvements , and strategic modernization across a critical part of the BSS landscape.
You will work closely with Application Owners, Product Owners, Architects, Business and Journey owners, IT Operations, Delivery Partners and other Application Experts in a fast‑moving, collaborative environment where ownership, quality and predictability matter.
Your responsibilities as an Application Expert
As an Application Expert , you are the subject‑matter expert for the applications in your scope. You combine deep application knowledge with strong analytical and collaborative skills to support stable operations, high‑quality delivery, and long‑term application evolution.
You act as a key bridge between business, delivery and architecture, ensuring that application‑related decisions are well‑founded, transparent and aligned with Telenet’s architectural guardrails and delivery standards.
- You act as the expert for assigned applications, including functionality, integrations, dependencies and constraints supporting the application owner. You maintain application hygiene and transparency through documentation, lifecycle data, integration views and architectural alignment, Service Reliability Engineering/Service Level Objectives (SRE/SLOs) and Total Cost of Ownership to support prioritization and informed decision‑making.
- You contribute to and maintain a prioritized Application Roadmap covering KTLO, upgrades, modernization and rationalization. You monitor technology evolution and influence the product backlog and multi-year view in line with Telenet’s architectural guardrails, innovation goals and technical debt reduction.
- You actively contribute to backlog quality, prioritization and predictability. You own or contribute to epics, increments and changes, including impact analysis, requirements definition and acceptance criteria. You safeguard quality from design through delivery, in line with agreed delivery frameworks and standards.
- You work closely with Architects to maintain and evolve reference architectures. You collaborate across squads, multiple delivery partners, increments and initiatives, proactively managing dependencies together with the product owner. You act as back‑up for fellow Application Experts and actively share knowledge and best practices. You grow towards more proactive technical and domain guidance as application maturity increases.

Experience with large-scale IT environments, integration‑heavy landscapes or telecom/billing, payments and collections systems is a strong asset.
