You develop and implement What's Cooking?’s sustainability strategy, translating it into concrete action plans, objectives and measurable outcomes.
You are responsible for further developing our ESG approach and ensuring that sustainability is embedded in day-to-day operations. You make it a priority for every What's Cooking? Chef and ensure it is genuinely embraced across all parts of the Group, maximising its impact.
You contribute to initiatives focused on CO₂ reduction, energy efficiency, water management, waste reduction, reuse and recycling, working closely with the various business units and functional experts.
You support a sustainable procurement and sourcing policy, with particular attention to raw materials, food waste and animal welfare.
You are responsible for sustainability reporting and continue to build expertise in areas such as CSRD, SBTi and carbon accounting. You work confidently with systems such as Tennaxia, Carbon-Alt-Delete and similar tools.
You monitor progress against sustainability targets and establish the necessary controls and KPIs to provide clear visibility of performance and results.
You bring colleagues, customers and suppliers together around our sustainability journey and foster an organisation-wide culture in which sustainability is a shared responsibility.
You act as an ambassador for What's Cooking? and represent the organisation with customers, suppliers and external networks on sustainability-related matters.
You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and take the initiative to develop and successfully deliver projects.
You stay abreast of the latest developments and legislation, translating them into innovative and practical solutions for the organisation, with a constant focus on genuine improvement, meaningful sustainability and long-term progress.
You report directly to the CFO and work closely with a range of internal stakeholders to maximise impact.
You are passionate about sustainability and eager to help build a forward-looking organisation that makes a meaningful impact.
You hold a Master's degree (optionally complemented by additional training in sustainability) and have relevant experience in sustainability and/or ESG.
You combine strategic insight with a hands-on mentality and can effortlessly translate ambitions into concrete, measurable objectives and achievable projects.
You are a strong relationship builder who can engage and inspire colleagues, customers and suppliers, bringing them along on the sustainability journey.
You are an inspiring communicator and natural storyteller, capable of presenting complex topics in a clear and compelling way to different audiences across the organisation.
You have project management experience, work in a results-driven manner and are able to prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment.
You possess solid knowledge of topics such as carbon accounting, CSRD, SBTi and ESG reporting, and are comfortable working with digital tools and data platforms.
You are a true team player with strong interpersonal skills and can easily build bridges between different departments and stakeholders.
You have an excellent command of spoken and written English and French, and ideally also Dutch.
You are flexible and willing to travel regularly between our various sites.
You are down-to-earth, proactive and not afraid to take ownership and get things done yourself.
