Want to help create innovative Smart Buildings?
Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a Commissioning Engineer Building Automation.
In this role, you will commission, test, and optimize building automation systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and according to specifications. You will work with advanced technologies to integrate HVAC, fire safety, and security systems into smart, energy-efficient buildings.
In this position, you will be partly employed at various client sites on Belgian territory, where you will work approximately 20% from our office in Huizingen.
Tasks:
- From the start of the project to completion, you are the central point of contact for the Siemens building management system. Of everything we realize, the BMS is the most visible: it is logical that we want to build this with care.
- The focus is on offering our customers an optimal and accessible user experience. You will therefore talk to the customer in order to optimally implement his needs and requirements during the realization of the BMS.
- You realize the BMS by dimensioning and installing the software package, performing the integrations with the subsystems, creating the management images, giving the client users access, ... You realize all the necessary parts of the BMS.
- This is an extensive task that you cannot perform alone. In addition to your contact with the customer, you work together with the project manager, your colleagues who are responsible for the realization of the subsystems, technical support, ...
- And finally, you also take care of a number of BMS installations at assigned customers, after the delivery of the installation. You perform upgrades, install security patches, and you are involved in migrating BMS systems to new versions or technology.
- You contribute to defining standards around the BMS approach in our projects. You give feedback, assist your teammates, share experiences, in short, you are jointly responsible for the further professional development of BMS systems in our organization.
Your skills
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in ICT or automation.
- You have a healthy affinity with software, applications and ICT. Servers, networks, virtualization, software installation, redundancy, backup hold no secrets for you.
- You are the face of the BMS installation at the customer. You are customer-friendly, patient and stress-resistant.
- Knowledge of underlying systems in buildings (fire protection, security, HVAC control) is a plus.
- You communicate fluently in English, Dutch and/or French (with a good understanding of the other national language)
Your competencies
- Implementing a successful BMS system is all about a lot of details that all need to be optimal. You have a fascination for ICT and technology with sufficient attention to detail.
- You have sufficient persuasiveness to make clear the pros and cons of different solutions with technical arguments.
- You are organized and manage your workload and tasks autonomously and independently.
- As a real team player, you can fully develop yourself in a team.
