Mission Overview:
We are seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator/Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site, representing Keystone Solutions. The client is undergoing an ambitious digital and organizational transformation, focusing on modern processes, stronger operational support, and more data-driven services. Key Responsibilities:

Design, manage, and optimize a secure, modern, and high-performance PostgreSQL database environment with a strong emphasis on security and reliability.

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning.
-
Design database structures and develop data synchronization mechanisms.
-
Play an active role in backend application development using Python, integrating with PostgreSQL databases, and setting up CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
-
Utilize knowledge of the Elastic Stack to support monitoring and logging activities as needed.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in database management, specifically with PostgreSQL.

Ability to manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including backup and recovery procedures, monitoring, and performance tuning.

Experience in designing database structures.

Proficiency in Python backend programming, including developing REST APIs and integrating these Python backend applications with PostgreSQL databases.

Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate development processes.

Ability to design tailored database solutions for development projects, preferably with experience in microservices architectures.

Support the implementation and configuration of other DBMS systems as needed.

Methodical and precise in work, with attention to detail due to the critical nature of police data and the need for a secure, reliable, and high-performance database environment.

Autonomy and initiative, with the ability to work independently, propose solutions, and adapt quickly to changes.

Practical Information:

Full-time position with a minimum of 2 days/week on-site presence, depending on tasks and team agreements; remote work allowed from home or employer address (Belgium).
