In this role, you are responsible for the financial follow-up of a number of foreign entities within the Sarens Group. You ensure accurate and timely reporting, safeguard statutory and fiscal compliance, and act as the link between headquarters and the local finance teams. You are energized by numbers and international contacts.

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who, in addition to accounting and reporting for Sarens, is also responsible for the follow-up of international entities within the group.

Coordinating the monthly and yearly closings of assigned foreign subsidiaries in Europe, Africa, and Latin America:

Checking and preparing the monthly financial group reporting according to BE GAAP.

Monitoring and reviewing annual and monthly local statutory and fiscal obligations (according to local GAAP) in collaboration with internal and external partners.

Acting as the point of contact for local accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.

Coordinating the incorporation and closure of new entities.

Analyzing and monitoring intercompany transactions.

Actively contributing to the optimization of financial processes and internal controls.

We are looking for a flexible team player with strong analytical and numerical insight. You work in a structured and accurate way and are able to detect anomalies and identify optimization opportunities. You have the ability to develop improvement processes, but you are not afraid to take on operational work as well. You are very solution-oriented, work thoroughly, and are energized by challenging issues.
The profile requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accountancy, taxation, or a similar economic field.

At least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in an international or multicultural environment.

Thorough knowledge of Belgian accounting principles and (general) tax regulations.

Knowledge of deferred tax calculations (DT) and foreign withholding tax (WHT) is a strong asset, as well as experience with multiple foreign currencies (FX).

Experience with different ERP systems.

Very strong communication skills in English = excellent level. Knowledge of other languages (Dutch or Spanish) is a plus.
