Two people. Seven nights. That doesn't add up anymore.
From this autumn dothub is open Friday and all weekend, 12:00 to midnight. Our team of two administrators can't cover that. So we're hiring two more.
dothub is a gaming and community space in Antwerp: high-end gaming PCs, PlayStation, board games, a coworking zone and a café. We run tournaments, community nights and private events. Not classic hospitality, not an internet café — a place people come to play together and stay.
What you'll do
During your shift, you are dothub. You're at reception, you know the people walking in, and you keep the evening running.
Reception and sales Welcome guests, explain and sell our pass system, create accounts in our gaming system, run the register, show people around.
Opening and closing the shift In twenty minutes before opening. PCs on, gaming room ready, registers open in Lightspeed and SENET. At the end: count the till, close the venue per checklist.
Venue and café Keep everything clean and presentable — PCs, peripherals, bathrooms. Restock the fridge and café display, log deliveries, watch stock.
Tech First line on PC, software and account issues. What you can't fix, you pass to our sysadmin.
Community and events Answer phone calls and Instagram DMs. For tournaments: set up stations, register participants, help run the bracket.
What you need
- Dutch — you'll be talking to customers all evening (English is our second language, so that helps)
- Comfortable with PCs — you restart, install and troubleshoot without panicking
- You game yourself. You don't need to be top 500, but you need to know what you're talking about when someone asks what's installed
- Available evenings and weekends, at least one fixed day a week
- Reliable and punctual. You're often alone at reception, and there's nobody behind you to clean up
What genuinely excites us
None of this is required. But it's the difference between someone who works shifts and someone we build something with.
- You've organised something before. A tournament, a LAN, a workshop, a party, a sports day, a summer camp. Anything people showed up to that didn't run itself
- Or you never have, but you want to. Also good. We run tournaments and community nights and we have more ideas than hands. If you want to take one over, that space is yours
- Community experience. Moderated a Discord, run a student association, coordinated a clan or a team, managed volunteers
- Experience in hospitality, retail or front desk
- Content creation: photo, video, editing
- French
- Experience with POS systems or gaming centre software

- Hourly pay per hour worked — student job or flexi-job, to be agreed
- Shifts scheduled a month in advance. You know well ahead when you're working and can plan studies or another job around it
- Clear expectations. Every task is written down with a concrete "done" criterion. No guessing
- Bonus if you hit more than 90% of your tasks to spec in a month
- Swapping shifts between administrators is fine, arranged in advance
- Free coffee and tea, plus access to the space
- A small team with no layers. Got an idea? You discuss it with the founder, not a department

- You'd rather sit out a shift than carry an evening
- You don't like approaching people. Half this job is hospitality
- Weekend work is a problem. That's exactly when we're open
