We are currently seeking experienced Pipefitters to join a major hyperscale Data Centre project in Mons, Belgium. Working for a leading mechanical contractor, you will be responsible for the installation of large-scale mechanical pipework systems within critical infrastructure environments.
Previous experience on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Semiconductor or other industrial projects is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Install carbon steel and stainless steel pipework.
- Assemble and install chilled water and condenser water systems.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs.
- Install pipe supports, brackets and hangers.
- Fit valves, flanges, pumps and associated mechanical equipment.
- Align pipe spools ready for welding.
- Install grooved (Victaulic) and flanged pipe systems.
- Carry out pressure testing and flushing activities where required.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with welders, mechanical supervisors and commissioning teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pipefitter on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical or Industrial projects.
- Ability to read and work from isometric drawings.
- Experience installing chilled water pipework.
- Experience with carbon steel pipework.
- Familiar with Victaulic/grooved systems.
- Strong understanding of safe working practices.
- Good communication skills.
- Must have the right to work in Belgium.
