Could you be the full-time Application Drawings Technician in Charleroi (Belgium) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering application drawings and layouts that enable the successful installation and wiring of outdoor and indoor wayside equipment. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering, Installation, Test & Commissioning), analyze design inputs and change requests, and ensure adherence to standards and quality requirements, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of producing design scheme plans, control tables, and wiring diagrams, but also layouts for signaling equipment rooms and safe Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
We’ll look to you for:
- Delivering design scheme plan layouts, control tables, wiring diagrams, and hardware configuration drawings
- Ensuring adherence to reference application design methods, signaling standards, and safety rules
- Analyzing design inputs and change requests and delivering application drawings accordingly
- Participating actively in design reviews
- Ensuring proper configuration management and documentation of deliverables
- Providing activity progress reports and identifying potential issues
- Ensuring the independence of design activity from verification activity
- Verifying and committing to the quality of deliverables
- Incorporating Return on Experience (RoE) conclusions into future production
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A two-year technical degree in Electrical or Electronic skills
- Experience or understanding of interlocking (IXL), Train Management Systems (TMS), or European Rail Traffic Management Systems (ERTMS)
- Knowledge of signaling principles and rules
- Familiarity with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools
- A railway transport training certification (desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to methodology
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative spirit
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
- Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
- Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
- Contribute to innovative projects
- Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment
- Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
- Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning
- Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
