We are looking for a Workday Specialist to support a major transformation programme for our client, a leading Belgian IT and digital transformation consultancy working with large enterprise organisations across strategy, architecture, delivery and technology implementation.
The role will help shape and implement the end client’s move towards a skills-based organisation, with a strong focus on Workday Skills Cloud, skills taxonomy, governance and integrating skills across key HR processes.
It’s a high-impact project targeting a Q1 2027 go-live.
This is a 4-5 month fractional contract, with around 2.5 days per week expected.
Responsibilities:
- Define and shape the skills-based operating model, including skills taxonomy, methodology and governance.
- Translate HR and business requirements into the capabilities and configuration of Workday.
- Embed skills across key HR processes including recruitment, development, internal mobility and workforce planning.
- Act as the bridge between HR, IT and wider project stakeholders, challenging requirements and driving adoption.
- Establish strong skills data governance, ensuring data quality, maintenance and sustainable use of the skills framework.
Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience designing or implementing a skills-based organisation / operating model.
- Strong knowledge of skills taxonomy, competency frameworks, methodology and governance.
- Experience embedding skills across recruitment, development, internal mobility and workforce planning.
- Ability to bridge HR strategy, business requirements and technology, working confidently with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong change and communication skills, with the ability to challenge existing ways of working and drive adoption.
