Location: Antwerp, Belgium (Construction Site)
Contract Duration: 10 months (with possible extension)
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) works at construction site in Antwerp.
The role will be part of a multicultural integrated project team and will report to the Subcontracts Administrator, within the Subcontracts Administration function.
Review and verify contractor unit-rate measurements against Issued for Construction drawings.
Review and verify As-Built remeasurements based on contractor As-Built drawings.
Validate quantities and commercial evaluations in line with contract preambles and measurement methods.
Prepare and issue bi-weekly measurement status reports (pre-measurements and As-Built) for each contract.
Track and expedite timely submission of measurements from construction contractors.
Maintain complete and audit-ready measurement records and documentation.
Liaise with contractors on monthly Progress Payment Certificates and verify submitted values.
Review and assess valuation of extra works requested by contractors and/or client.
Support analysis of contractor claims.
Contribute to preparation of contract revisions and updates.
Monitor official correspondence between Wood and contractors; escalate key contractual/commercial issues to the Subcontracts Administrator.
Attend weekly subcontract meetings and support preparation of meeting minutes.
Contribute to monthly subcontract reports, including extra works issued during the reporting period.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
Have at least 2 years of experience in industrial plant environments.
Be fluent in written and spoken English (Dutch is a plus).
Have strong proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced/complex Excel files.
Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Be comfortable working in integrated, multicultural teams on complex projects.
Be a collaborative team player.
Be legally eligible to work in Belgium.
Be available to work full-time at construction site.
