THE DATA TEAM
Our Data team’s ambition is to model the European real estate market through a scientific approach while developing innovative products. Within this department, the Geo Engineering team is made up of several profiles with strong expertise in computational geography (geographic data sources, vector modeling, geocoding, web mapping applications, etc.), as well as skills in information extraction and processing, database management, and system and software architecture. We work closely with PhD students and researchers, as well as experts in mathematics, economics, finance, statistics, machine learning, and data engineering.
The responsibilities of the Geo Engineering team include:
- Integrating and consolidating the best geographic data sources into specialized data models to support the development of our R&D projects.
- Exposing high-availability, high-volume geographic APIs and UIs (querying, geocoding, mapping, routing, etc.) to support the development of our real estate platforms.
- Strengthening the Data Science team with a stable R&D environment.
- Ensuring the proper operation (production, exposure, monitoring) and evolution of our real estate platforms.
We also maintain frequent interactions with French research laboratories, enriching our thinking around real estate market modeling. A scientific advisory board composed of recognized academic figures—specialists in housing, economics, mathematics, and urban geography—meets twice a year to define the scientific strategy of the AVIV
Group.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:
- Join a team of engineers specialized in geodata to collaborate on GIS pipelines, databases, and tools.
- Create and maintain scripts (Python, Jupyter, SQL, etc.) to monitor data quality and enrich or correct our geographic datasets.
- Source, cross-reference, and integrate relevant new geographic data (addresses, neighbourhoods, road networks, etc.)
- Support other teams (product, data, support, projects, etc.) with their geographic challenges and help them become autonomous.
- Contribute to the prioritization and monitoring of initiatives related to geographic reference datasets.
- Work in synergy with our existing cloud tools and data pipelines, even without being a data engineering expert.
