Job description
Wanna give your training a strong societal turn ?
As part of the PEDAYA LIFE COPE project, dedicated to improving the long-term follow-up of childhood cancer survivors in Belgium, the CAYOPI – Children, Adolescents and Young Adults unit of the Cancer Centre at Sciensano is looking for a Master’s student to conduct a scoping review of the scientific literature on care models for childhood cancer survivors after completion of their treatment.
The aim of the internship is to identify, describe and compare the different organisational models for post-treatment follow-up proposed or evaluated in the international scientific literature.
The analysis will focus in particular on the components of follow-up models, the healthcare professionals involved, coordination arrangements, the role of survivors and their families, reported outcomes, as well as the conditions required for implementation, accessibility, continuity and equity of care.
The internship will take place within the CAYOPI team of the Sciensano Cancer Centre, in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Health of the University of Liège. The student will be supervised by a multidisciplinary team specialising in public health and paediatric haemato-oncology.
The results of this work will contribute to the preparation of the questionnaire, focus groups and organisational scenarios planned as part of the project.
