Development engineer
Billingsfors mill Sweden (BU Technical materials)
The mill in Billingsfors, Sweden, produces and sells highly specialized fiber-based materials from 3 paper machines and one off-line coating machine, using both external pulps and pulp from the integrated pulp mill. Products target a wide variety of industrial segments such as building & construction, metal & glass manufacturing, textile printing and electrotechnical high voltage applications.
As a team member, reporting to the Development and Quality Manager, you will contribute to the continued success of the Billingsfors mill and Protective Materials business unit. Projects are run in close cooperation with the BU R&D team in France.
Key responsibilities
- In close contact with colleagues and customers drive new product development projects from ideas to industrialization and launch.
- Initiate and drive improvement and optimization projects including cost reduction and regulatory adjustments.
- Ensure quality and speed in all work including identifying and mitigating risks and bottlenecks.
- Document and communicate work locally and globally to gain and share knowledge and best practice.

Education / work experience needed
- Master or engineer in papermaking, chemistry, process or similar.
- Experience in a similar position or in a similar industry would be a plus.
- Fluent in English (French or Swedish would be a plus).
