We're looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant to support the rollout of a Data Governance and Data Quality programme based on the DCAM (EDM Council) framework for our client in the insurance sector.
Location: Brussels (Hybrid – on-site workshops with business stakeholders, remote work for preparation and documentation)
- Workload: Part-time (2–3 days per week)
Your responsibilities

Organise and facilitate workshops with business units to gather and document inputs for DCAM artefacts across multiple data domains.

Support the creation, validation, and rollout of DCAM artefacts in line with the DCAM framework and established templates.

Maintain templates and monitor implementation progress against the project plan.

Prepare weekly and milestone reports, follow up on assigned actions, and maintain a central status board.

Support Data Governance and Data Quality communication initiatives through newsletters, intranet updates, and awareness campaigns.

Develop data literacy materials such as quick guides and FAQs.

Advise on the practical implementation of Data Governance by sharing best practices and hands-on experience to help embed governance across the organisation.
Requirements
Your profile
Mandatory

DCAM Certification (EDM Council).

Solid understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality principles.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.

Comfortable working with business users who are new to Data Governance and Data Quality.
Nice to have

Experience with other Data Management frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK).

Previous experience implementing a Data Governance programme.

Knowledge of Dutch and/or French.

Good command of English.
