Role Description: Power BI Specialist
Part of the business intelligence team, with the objective of transforming raw data from systems into reliable, understandable, and actionable insights that enable management and operational teams to make decisions.
Responsibilities:
Mainly hands-on work, focused on execution and automation
- Build and maintain Power BI reports
- Develop Power Query and SQL transformations
- Automate data flows and reporting
- Optimize data models and DAX measures
- Resolve operational BI issues
- Provide coaching and support to the organization
Skills:
Power BI
- Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query
- Extensive experience with DAX, including measure writing, optimization, and understanding row context versus filter context
- Experience with Power Query and ETL processes
- Knowledge of star, snowflake, and dimensional models
- Understanding of best practices for performance and relationship design
Automation and Integration
- Experience with Power Automate, Dataflows, or other automation tools
- Affinity with data engineering
• Good knowledge of Excel
Additional:
- SQL, basic level
- Data pipelines, for example ADF, Synapse, or other ETL or ELT tools
- Understanding of governance, security, version control, deployment, and workspaces in Power BI
• Master’s level of thinking and working, through education or experience
- Several years of experience developing Power BI dashboards
- Eager to learn, hands-on, and enjoys technical challenges
- Proactive and able to work autonomously, while asking for help when needed
- PL-300 certification, Power BI Data Analyst, is a strong asset
Nice to have:
- Experience with automation projects
- Experience with the Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure tooling, or data lakes
