Join the F&B Team at SQUARE Brussels Convention Centre
To strengthen its Food & Beverage department, SQUARE Brussels Convention Centre is looking for an experienced F&B Project Manager.
Located in the heart of Brussels, just steps away from Central Station, SQUARE is one of Europe's leading convention centres. Every year, we host hundreds of international conferences, congresses, institutional meetings, and corporate events.
As part of our F&B team, you will be the main point of contact for clients regarding all catering aspects of their events, from the initial concept and proposal through to on-site execution.
Your Role
You will be responsible for the complete management of assigned F&B projects while contributing to the commercial development of our catering services.
Business Development
- Advise clients on the design and development of their F&B offering.
- Identify upselling opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
- Prepare and negotiate catering proposals.
- Follow up on quotations and convert them into confirmed orders.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with event organisers.
Project Management
- Manage F&B projects from confirmation through to delivery.
- Organise and participate in client meetings, site visits, and tastings.
- Translate client requirements into clear operational instructions for kitchen, logistics, and service teams.
- Prepare operational documentation and event briefings.
- Manage last-minute changes and ensure smooth implementation.
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Kitchen, Logistics, and Banqueting Managers).
- Coordinate orders with suppliers.
- Ensure quality standards, deadlines, and budgets are respected.
- Participate in operational briefings and provide on-site support for major events.
Administration & Financial Follow-up
- Create and manage event files within our event management system.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Monitor deposits and payments.
- Track event profitability.
- Produce post-event reports and ensure client follow-up.
Your Profile
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position within a convention centre, hotel, event caterer, or event agency.
- You have a C2 level in Dutch with an excellent command of French and English.
- You are comfortable in a commercial environment and possess strong negotiation skills.
- You are organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You work independently while enjoying teamwork.
- You remain calm under pressure and are able to manage unexpected situations effectively.
- Knowledge of the MICE industry and international congresses is a significant advantage.
