Sales Director opportunity – UK & Europe Retail Channel. A newly created role for an experienced, astute Sales Director to manage the retail channel category across the UK and Europe. Excellent package, Germany, France or Belgium hybrid based – UK and EU Travel.

The Role
Responsible for driving revenue growth, margin performance, and strategic customer relationships across UK and European retail channels.
The role leads retail and omnichannel sales execution, working cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, portfolio, supply chain, and customer service teams to deliver business objectives, strengthen key customer partnerships, and develop a high-performing retail sales function.
Key Objectives
- Drive revenue and margin growth across UK and European retail channels.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with major retail and e-commerce customers.
- Lead retail channel planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial reporting.
- Deliver successful product launches, promotions, and retail initiatives.
- Coordinate international retail account activity across European markets.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing retail sales team.
Accountabilities
- Deliver sales and margin targets through effective pricing, promotions, and account management.
- Lead key customer relationships, Joint Business Planning, and commercial negotiations.
- Drive growth through distribution expansion, promotional activity, and range development.
- Align sales execution across store, online, and omnichannel retail environments.
- Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless customer delivery.
- Provide market insights, identify growth opportunities, and support product development decisions.
Your Experience
Essential
- Senior sales leadership experience within retail, consumer goods, or multi-channel environments.
- Proven success delivering revenue growth and commercial performance.
- Strong strategic account management and customer relationship skills.
- Experience leading and developing sales teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, promotions, and margin management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, international business environments.
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, consumer products, industrial, or Agri sectors.
- Experience managing UK and European retail accounts.
- Knowledge of omnichannel and e-commerce retail environments.
- Experience in matrix or international organisations.
- Familiarity with CRM and commercial reporting systems.
