Function description:
The contract engineer is taking up an expert role in respect of the contracting and legal negotiations with suppliers, in particular in IT legal matters.
The role consists of the following activities:

To support the buyers and business representatives in revising contracts following guidelines and policies
- To analyze legal risks of contracts
- To propose the most suitable contracts from a toolbox and customize where needed;
- To support negotiations from a legal point of view
- To (help) draft final agreements between BNP Paribas and suppliers
- To ensure compliance with external and internal legislation and requirements
- To initiate continuous improvement of relevant know-how and processes by sharing knowledge of the IT/Legal market via trainings towards the team of Contract Engineers

Required experience / knowledge:
At least 5 years of relevant Legal experience
Education:
Master in law
Languages:
English and French and/or Dutch : Strong written and spoken communication skills
