Could you be the full-time Head of Locomotive Maintenance Projects (France-BeLux) in Belfort/Bruges we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll drive the execution of Locomotive Maintenance Projects in the France-BeLux region, ensuring they meet contractual requirements, customer expectations, and Alstom’s high standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with internal teams such as the Project Team, Line Managers, Tender and Project Office, and Product Line, as well as external stakeholders like customers, suppliers, authorities, and partners, to deliver outstanding results. You’ll also lead business development efforts to expand into new markets and win new customers.
You’ll specifically take care of managing project Quality, Cost, Delivery, Planning (QCDP), and Environment Health & Safety (EHS) aspects, but also strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth through strategic development initiatives.
We’ll look to you for:
Driving the execution of Locomotive Maintenance Projects to maximize results with respect to cash flow, margin, and on-time delivery.
Leading and coordinating project activities from transfer to close-out while ensuring compliance with Alstom’s project management processes.
Managing project resources, including staffing and work package allocation, while addressing potential resource gaps.
Leading and motivating project teams to achieve objectives and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders.
Ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, managing variation orders, and addressing claims or litigations as needed.
Proactively managing risks, opportunities, and savings to optimize project outcomes.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Defining and implementing a business development strategy to identify and secure new opportunities in the France-BeLux locomotive services market.
Promoting Alstom’s services and solutions to influence customer specifications and win new business.
Providing market intelligence and strategic insights to support decision-making and tender strategies.

Master’s degree in a relevant field
15 years of experience as a project manager in railway services and transit operations, with at least 5 years in the locomotives market
Experience working in and with multinational companies and across different business cultures
Strong project management skills, with a focus on Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Planning (QCDP)
Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi-site, multi-functional teams
Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Knowledge of railway products, systems, and project management processes
Entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on results and business development
IPMA Level B certification (or equivalent) is desirable
