In this role, you translate ideas into concrete, buildable solutions. You work on the design and development of mechanical components, ensuring they are technically sound, robust, and cost-efficient.
What will you do?
- Design plastic and metal parts such as housings, heatsinks, and brackets
- Perform tolerance calculations and mechanical analyses
- Account for thermal, mechanical, and environmental factors
- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, sourcing, and quality teams
- Coordinate with external partners and suppliers
- Contribute to the industrialisation of new products
- Master's degree in industrial design or a related field
- Experience in mechanical design (plastics and/or metals is a plus)
- Strong 3D CAD skills (NX preferred)
- Good understanding of materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
- Strong communicator, comfortable working with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and proactive
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Interest in leading a small team (a plus)
