We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to strengthen our team for a large industrial project located in Italy, but with the office in Mechelen, Belgium.
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large industrial projects, acting as the client’s trusted partner on site. You will lead the project through all phases, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
You will be involved in projects ranging from major brownfield and greenfield industrial developments to complex revamping and expansion works.
What is the role About?
As a Construction Manager you will:
- Oversee and direct construction projects during design and execution phase
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Set up of the constructability file.
Review the planning of all different contractors and manage full adapted siteplanning
Oversee all onsite and offsite project works, monitoring compliance with building and safety regulations
Coordinate and direct construction workers and (sub)contractors
Keep track of work progress on a daily basis
Ensure safe working conditions on site
Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
Anticipate potential issues and resolving any emerging ones
Manage permits and licenses
Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
Ensure construction quality standards, and the use of appropriate construction techniques
- 10 years total experience in Construction Management, at least 5 in Industrial Projects.
VCA/equivalent safety training.
Languages: Very good in Dutch and French/English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
Informatics: Fluency in Ms Office (Word, Excel), experience with construction management software (MS Projects, Auto-CAD reading)
Travel availability in both regions
Other: Driving license B
